Halloween Decor ~ Thankful Thursday Design Team

Hey everyone! Thanks for stopping by today. Our design team today has created lots of Halloween Decor to help get your creative juices flowing. I have to start by saying that I am totally addicted to Pinterest. Thanks Emily!  ;)

I had "repinned from someone elses pin" this cute ghost quite a while ago and when I saw what the challenge was for today, I knew I had to try it. I was really nervous last night when I started working on it that it wasn't going to dry in time and it wasn't going to stand up on its own. It took many times of spraying with the starch and letting it dry and spraying again and letting it dry. I put wiggly eyes and a bow on my "girl" ghost. Here's how it turned out:

Sorry if the pictures are blurry. I'm having some steadiness issues. I think my little ghost turned out so cute. What do you think? I'd love to hear your comments. Go on over to Crazy About Cricut's blog and check out all the other design team projects. They are pretty awesome!

My Pinkalicious Blog Hop

So, Friday was the My Pinkalicious Blog Hop over at My Pink Stamper. The challenge for this months blog hop was to make a goodie bag or 3-D item that is for a Holiday. Any Holiday or Occasion. I went with making a little goodie bag to hold some Halloween treats. I think this one will be for my neighbors. I know they are going through a rough time and I'm hoping this will bring some Halloween cheer to them if there is such a thing. :)

Click here to view the tutorial on this box. I also made a matching card to go with it. I think it turned out cute! I stickled the heck out of the pumpkin! :)

Hope you all like my creations today! Thanks for stopping by and stop by again real soon!

More Duct Tape Projects

Hey everyone! Look at me! Two days in a row I'm posting! My kids and I are just going crazy with making projects out of Duct Tape. If you go to youtube.com and in the search type in Duck Brand Duct Tape, they have a whole bunch of awesome projects you can try and it's so much fun with all the different colors and patterns of duct tape you can find.

So, I made a duct tape headband with a bow and a cell phone case. Check it out.....

Well, my kids and I are going to keep making fun projects with duct tape. If we come up with anything else awesome and fun, I'll be posting it here. Thanks again for stopping by and stop again soon.

Thankful Thursday Design Team

Hey Everyone! Today our Design Team was to make a project with a monster on it. I just made a card this time, but I think it turned out pretty cute. This was my first time adding tulle to a card and I love the look it gives the card.

The little monster on the card is a Doodlebug Design Doodle-Pop. I think these are soooo cute. I got a few of them at Archiver's but I've seen them all over the internet. The stamp "Too Cute To Spook" is just a cheap wooden stamp that my Wal-Mart started carrying. I also got the bat ribbon at Wal-Mart in the scrapbooking section. I also added a little bit of purple stickles in the "O's" of Spook.

I was feeling soooo creative, I decided to make a second card. :)  Thanks for stopping by everyone! Go on over to Crazy About Cricut's blog and check out the other design team members monster projects.

Hey Everyone! Thanks for stopping by today. So, my son needed a book cover for a class at school and by the time we knew this and went looking for one, we couldn't find any that were reasonably priced. Anyway, my sons teacher said that they couldn't use brown paper bags (like I did when I was in school) because they don't hold up well enough. Well, my boys and I have been checking out the Duck Brand Duct Tape You Tube Channel a lot and have been addicted to making things with Duct Tape. There was a tutorial on how to make a Duct Tape book cover using a brown paper bag and Duct Tape. We used green (my sons favorite color) and metallic silver. What do you think?

I think it turned out pretty good and I think it will serve the purpose. Also, he can write on the Duct Tape with permanent marker. So, if you have some Duct Tape sitting around, get creative and make something with it. Stop by again soon!

Thankful Thursday Fall/Halloween Blog Hop!

Hi Everybody!

The grand prize for this hop is the beautiful Celebrate With Flourish cartridge. To enter you need to leave a comment on ALL the blogs in this hop.

Now, on to my project. I found this idea on the Martha Stewart website. I thought they were cute Halloween decorations. I decided to make a cat and a pumpkin.

Step #1 ~ Accordian fold an 8.5 by 11 inch piece of paper in 1/2 or 3/4 inch folds. I used my Martha Stewart score board to make equal scores at 1/2 inch for the pumpkin and 3/4 inch for the cat.

Step #2 ~ I used my bone folder to make my folds sharp and to bend my folded paper in half to form a fan.

Step #3 ~ You will do this folding to two pieces of paper, but then I did mine a little bit different than the directions on the website. I put the two pieces together by tying them with thread through the center and using Red Line Craft tape to form a circle. See below.

Step #4 ~ Then I just used scraps of paper to cut out the facial features for each decoration. Here is the finished pumpkin.

And here is the finished cat.

Well, I hope you enjoyed my project today. Thank you for joining us! Now head on over to see what the talented Gaby at http://www.gabycreates.com/ has created for you today!

Thankful Thursday ~ Pirate Theme

Hey everyone! Welcome back for another Thankful Thursday Design Team project. This week we were to make a project with a pirate theme. This one took me a while to come up with an idea. I finally decided to take some pirate-themed scrapbook paper and cover some chipboard and then I used my Bind-It-All to turn it into a little mini notebook for my son. I decorated the front by cutting out a little pirate ship from some pirate-themed scrapbook paper and placed it on the front using pop dots. I also added some glossy accents to the waves to make them look watery. It turned out pretty good I think. Here are some pictures.

Okay, now it's your turn. Go on over to Crazy About Cricut and enter a project of your own with a pirate theme. Thanks for stopping by and I have to let you know that this Friday and Saturday, my mom and I are off to the Mall of America for ScrapFest 2011! I can't wait! It's my favorite time of year, even more than Christmas! :)

Thankful Thursday ~ Grandparents Day Card

Hey Everyone! I'm so glad you stopped by today. Our challenge for today was to make a card for Grandparents Day. I'm very excited for Grandparents Day! This is my first year as a Grandparent to a sweet little 4 month old named, Shilo. She's my little sweet pea.

This is me and my granddaughter, Shilo.

I think she has the sweetest face and the most beautiful blue eyes.

Onto my project. I made a card for my Grandma who is 85 years young this year. When Shilo was born, my Grandma became a Great Great Grandma for the first time. I decided to do a gate-fold card. This is the first time I've tried this type of card.

I recently started making little hair bow clips, so I made a bow and instead of putting it on a hair clip, I just added it as an embellishment to my card.

I kept this card on the simple side for my Grandma.

The ribbon is from Making Memories 5th Avenue collection.

The paper is from DCWV The Mod-Retro Stack.

The stamp on the inside is from My Pink Stamper's Everyday Life. Ok, now go back over to Crazy About Cricut's blog and check out all the other projects from my fellow design team members and then upload your project or card.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you stop back soon.

Thankful Thursday Design Team Day

Hey Everyone! Welome back for another Thankful Thursday Design Team Project. Today our theme was to do a Back To School Note. Well, my oldest is graduated, my middle two are in high school, so that leaves my 11 year old. I didn't think he'd want a note from his mom so instead I decided to personalize one of his notebooks. My kids always have to have a composition notebook for school, so I took some of my scrapbooking paper and covered the notebook and then added some personalization to it.

My son loves horses and he even owns a horse so of course I had to use scrapbooking paper with a western theme and I put a horse from the Create-A-Critter cartridge on the notebook. I popped the horse up with pop dots.

I also added my sons name with scrapbooking stickers and popped them up with pop dots also.

Well, that's all I have for today. I hope you like my project and leave me a comment if you like. Stop back again real soon.

Rock On!

Hey Everyone!

I love joining in on blog hops whenever I have a chance and My Pink Stamper has a great blog hop once a month. It's always the third Friday of the month. This month, I didn't get a chance to join in on the blog hop until Saturday and I just got a chance to upload the pictures of my card I came up with for the challenge. This month the challenge was to show your style whatever that may be.

Well, my favorite color is purple and I also really like hot pink and neon green too. I think my style is bright, cheery, fun and sparkly. I like adding Stickles, Glossy Accents, ribbon, buttons, and diamond bling whenever I can. Here is what I came up with.

I recently got a couple of Simply Betty Stamps so I thought I would try one out and I colored it with my watercolor pencils.

I added Glossy Accents to her glasses to look like lenses and I added Stickles to her bows and outfit. I added some ribbon and purple buttons. I also added the "Rock On" stamp from My Pink Stampers Everyday Life stamp set.

Well, hope you like what I came up with. Thanks for stopping by and leave me a comment if you want. I love hearing from everyone! :)
