I used patterned paper from the DCWV Summer Dream Stack and the purple card base is Making Memories Smooth Grapevine. I used Stampin' Up Certainly Celery 5/8" ribbon , a prima flower, a Doodlebug Design Inc. sugar coated brad in bubblegum, and the stamps are from My Favorite Things Clearly Sentimental About Mothers.

I know I just did a t-shirt project for the last blog hop, but I came across this idea on Pinterest (which I just love by the way) where you use crayons to color a design on sandpaper and then turn the sandpaper over onto the shirt and run the iron over it. It turns out really cool! I decided to get a pack of metallic crayons which made the design come out shimmery on the t-shirt.

This is the picture my son drew on the sandpaper. There are some cars, a trailer, a volcano on the left, and in the middle is lightning coming from some clouds and hitting some water on the ground. He did a great job. :)

My son ironing over the sandpaper.

Here is how his design showed up on the t-shirt. With his design, it didn't really matter, but you do have to remember that the design will be reversed on the t-shirt so any words would have to be written in reverse.

Here are a couple of close ups of the design on his shirt.

After ironing on the design, you put some paper towels over the design and run the iron over it again and then you throw the shirt in your dryer for about 20 minutes to set the design. They also recommend washing the shirt by itself for the first time.

And below is a picture of the super happy boy wearing his newly designed shirt.

So, for this blog hop, I had originally planned on making a wreath, but I couldn't find a styrofoam wreath shape to start with in my town so I will have to pick one up next time I get to a JoAnn's or Michaels and I will still try to make one and post it later. Anyway, I had to come up with a different project. I decided to make a shirt for my 11 year old son to wear to school on St. Patrick's Day.

My husband has Irish background in his family so my kids love to celebrate St. Patrick's Day and make kind of a big deal out of it. I realized that I don't have a cricut cartridge with a shamrock on it so I printed one out from the internet and used it as a pattern to cut the shamrock out of my iron-on fabric. I then colored the shamrock with markers. I also typed out the word "Lucky" in a paint program, printed it out on paper and used the paper letters as a pattern to cut out the letters from the iron on fabric. I also colored the letters black.

I then ironed it onto the t-shirt I bought for my son. Here are the pictures I took.

After I finished it, he told me he wanted me to add "I'm Irish" to it. I guess we'll see if I can get that added to the bottom before he wears it to school. :)

Here is a close-up of the t-shirt......

I hope you like my project. :)

The prize for this blog hop is a $15 gift voucher to papercraftingworld.com.

Now head back over to Jenny's blog at http://crazyaboutcricut.blogspot.com/ and at least leave a comment, but we'd also love to see you all come up with a project to link up also.

Birthday Card ~ Stacy

Hello everyone!

I wanted to share a new style of card I made for a friend's birthday this month. I found this shadow box card on http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/. I thought it was cool and I wanted to give it a try. I think it turned out pretty cute and Stacy seemed to really like it.

Don't pay any attention to my cat behind the card in the above picture. He wouldn't move out of the way while I took the pictures. :)

I just kept it simple yet feminine for her.

That's all for today. Thank you for stopping by and stop back real soon. February 23rd is our next Thankful Thursday Design Team Blog Hop and I'm pretty sure it will be a blast. :)

Happy Valentine's Day!

I hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day! My husband and I had an overnight getaway just the two of us this last weekend to celebrate Valentine's Day. With four kids, we don't get away very often so it was really fun!

Anyway, I wanted to share with you some Valentine's Day projects that I made with the help of my 11 year old. First off are his Valentine's that we made for his class.

We got this idea from my Thankful Thursday Design Team buddy, Cheryl at Cards by CG. Thanks Cheryl for the great idea! My son had a lot of fun making these and his classmates thought they were pretty awesome.

Ben did a pretty good job making these. He was better at putting them together than I was. :)

Next, I made these cute little lip balm holders for Ben's female teachers. I think they turned out pretty cute. I love using the animal print paper. I think it's my favorite.

Here is a view from the side. You can see the tube of lip balm in this view.

This was the first year that my son was allowed to decorate his own Valentine's holder and then they were judged on them. I can't remember where I found this idea, but I saw it and just had to use this idea.

It's a kleenex box covered with my animal print paper, white card stock for the teeth and an egg carton for the eyes. I glued googly eyes to the egg carton pieces and then used my cricut to cut out his name for the back. Below is the back view.

My son has one male teacher and I didn't think he'd want a pink lip balm so I just put together a treat bag for him with Hershey's Hugs and Kisses and I made a topper for it. This is one side of the topper.

And here is the other side of the topper. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. Not girly and suitable for a guy.

And lastly, here is the Valentine's Day card I made my husband. Also, not too girly. :)

Well, that is all I have to share with you today. I know that was a lot, but I was anxious to share all my Valentine's Projects with you now that everything has been passed out to the appropriate recipients. Thanks for stopping by and stop back real soon. Leave me a comment if you like.

Thankful Thursday Valentine's Blog Hop

Here's my project I made for this hop. I made treat boxes for Valentine's Day. I made them the same way and then just decorated them in different ways. Here's how you make them:

I took an 8.5 x 11 inch piece of cardstock and scored it at 2", 5", 7" and 10" on the 11 inch side and at 1.25" and 7.25" on the 8.5 inch side. I then folded on all the score lines using my bone folder. See picture below.

I then cut off the whole top except for the one flap you see in the picture. For the bottom, I cut off the little tab on the lower right corner and cut slits along all the score lines at the bottom. See picture below.

For decorations on my white box, I stamped using My Pink Stamper's From The Heart stamp set. See picture below

I then added red tape along the small tab on the left side and one of the outer bottom flaps. See picture below.

I then closed up the box and pushed in the sides of the box a bit to get it to form the treat box shape. See picture below.

I punched the holes for the ribbon using my Crop-a-dile. I then filled the box with candy and added the ribbon to close up the box. See below picture.

Here is my treat box all closed up......

Then I made my second box and covered it with some fun patterned paper on all four sides. I used Doodlecharms Cricut Cartridge to cut out the heart and I used My Pink Stamper's Happiest Moments stamp set to stamp on the heart. I exchanged the ribbon this time for some My Mind's Eye Lime Twist Twine to close up the box with.

I hope you like my project. :)

The prize for this blog hop is the Space Party Cricut Cartridge.

All you have to do to be entered in the drawing for this cartridge is leave a comment on Jenny's blog at http://crazyaboutcricut.blogger.com/. Everyone who links up a project will get two additional entries for a total of three entries if you also leave a comment!

Hello Everyone!
Sorry it took me a little longer than I expected to get my cards posted, but here they are....

The stamps used are from My Pink Stamper's From The Heart stamp set. The heart cut is from the Doodlecharms Cricut Cartridge, and I added the heart with an Action Wobble which I took a quick video of to show you the "action" part. :)

Crafting, crafting and more crafting!

Hi there everyone!

I just wanted to let everyone know that I have been busy crafting a lot lately, but I haven't been able to post any of it because they are gifts that I have been making and I have to make sure the person who receives it gets to see it first. :)

Anyway, I will be posting a lot more hopefully soon, so please keep stopping by and checking out my blog often. So, for now, I am going to post something I made for my mom. She saw the Duct Tape cell phone cases I was making this past fall and she asked me quite a while ago to make one for her, but she wanted a way to attach it to her belt loop for when she is out in the barn doing horse chores.

So.... here it is. A Duct Tape cell phone case for my mom's cell phone.

I added some gems to the top flap to bling it up a little bit. I really love this peace pattern Duct Tape. It's so pretty.

The top flap has a velcro closure. The cell phone cases I made in the past didn't have a top flap. I just came up with that idea while I was working on it. I thought it needed something that would keep the cell phone in the case in case it did fall to the ground.

My mom requested that I add a way for the cell phone case to attach to her belt loop. This is the part that took me a while to figure out how to add this feature. I finally decided to add it the way you see in the following picture. It also has velcro for the closure.

Here you can see the belt loop holder open. I added it and then put my cell phone in the case and swung the case by just the belt loop attachment and it was stuck very good so I'm hoping it holds up for her. She will be able to test it out well for me since she is out in the barn everyday doing horse chores.

So, that is my latest project I have made. I hope you like it. Thanks for stopping by and checking out my blog and stop back again in a couple of days. I will be posting a new style of card that I made for the first time and I made it for a Valentine's Day card. Come back and check it out. :)
