A New Birthday Card

Happy Thursday everyone! Tomorrow is Friday, Yay! I am so behind on making cards for people I know that have graduated or have had birthdays.... It's crazy. I feel like I have to make my friends and family one of a kind cards so they feel special. This card is for a friend who already had their birthday this year. I think she knows who she is. Surprise! Your card is on it's way, BFF! :)

I love this paper I've been using from The Paper Studio called Safari Untamed. It's so cute. You can't tell very well in the picture, but I added Sparkly Fluff to the black parts (except the eyes) of the zebra so it would look and feel more like a real zebra. I don't like using the Sparkly Fluff because it's really messy, but I love the look and feel it gives to your image.

I also added Glam Pink Stickles to the flower and Crystal Stickles to the center of the flower. The Happy Birthday stamp is from Stampendous.

I like how it turned out. What do you think?

Cricut 360º Design Team Call

Hey Everyone! I've decided to apply for another design team. I figure the more experience I get, the better I will become. I am really enjoying designing for the Thankful Thursday Design Team. Here is the info about applying for the Cricut 360º Design Team:

We are looking for 12 designers who love to work with any of the Cricut machines and their best friend, the Cuttlebug. If you have any of the Cricut machines you can apply for the team. All you need is to have an active blog and the time to create a card or layout every other week.

If you are interested in applying for the design team, please create a card or a layout with LIME GREEN and a BUG in it. Any bug will do... and post it here. You have the entire month of May to complete this challenge and we will announce the winners of a DT spot on Friday June Third.

It's hard to see in the pictures, but I used Design Cuts With A View Glitter paper for the wings on both dragonflies and for the body of the blue dragonfly. In person, it is really cute. Thanks for stopping by everyone!

Owl Birthday Card

A friend at work turned 30 on Easter and for the big birthdays we go all out and decorate their desk (usually in some sort of theme) and have a food day. Anyway, since she turned 30, we each brought in 30 of some sort of item. I brought her 30 pieces of Dove Dark Chocolate. Someone else brought her 30 cans of Mountain Dew (her favorite soda) and another co-worker brought her 30 Hostess Cupcakes, etc. We also ended up doing an owl theme. To decorate her desk, a bunch of origami owls in different colors and sizes were put together and put all around her cubicle. See pics below:

Anyway, so I went with an owl theme for her card also. There's owls along with beavers and some other animals on the background paper and of course I used Create-A-Critter for the owl. I think it turned out pretty good and I think she liked it.

Easter Cards

Well, I had planned on making these Easter cards and linking them up to Jalisa's Patches of Pink Thursday Link Up to try for a spot on her design team, but I took too long and didn't get it done on time. A Blog Hop & A Class!

I've had a busy weekend so far. Yesterday I participated in the My Pink Stamper Monthly Blog Hop. I truly enjoy participating in these blog hops. I get so many ideas and inspiration from others. The top card below is the project I will be linking up on My Pink Stampers blog for the hop.

This morning, I held my first card making class for my family, so not a real class, but it was fun. I made three different cards (sample cards) and then put together eight kits for each of the three different cards. In attendance were my mom, my aunt and my 84 year old grandma. It's never too late to learn new ideas. We all had a lot of fun spending time with each other, crafting with each other and eating my aunt's very nutty brownies. LOL! I liked them Auntie! Anyway, here are the three sample cards. Let me know what you think. I love to see all of your comments.

Spinner Horse Card

I was a busy bee today. I made two cards and one of them is a spinner card which takes me a little bit longer than most cards. Enjoy!


So, I made this birthday card for a friend who has a horse.
Below is the picture of the actual horse.. How did I do?

I think it turned out pretty good and this one is the spinner card.
Pretty proud of this one.

And I did a monkey card just for the heck of it. You can't tell in the picture, but I've popped up the light green grass from the dark green grass to give it a multi-dimentional look. The monkey is also popped up.
